I’m excited to share that I’ve created a fundraiser to support Heart of Dinner’s mission to reduce food insecurity, social isolation, and loneliness among nearly Asian American older adults living in significantly under-resourced communities across NYC.

Heart of Dinner’s signature care packages provide far beyond culturally thoughtful food—they’re symbols of love and connection. Each care package includes:

• 💌 Handwritten notes of love in the Elder’s native language, offering comfort and belonging.
• 🎨 Beautifully hand-decorated bags that brighten their week and remind them they’re never alone.
• 🍱 Nutrient-dense meals sourced from small businesses owned by BIPOC, women, and LGBTQIA+ leaders.

Our Elders face challenges that go far beyond hunger:

• 1 in 3 Asian Elders in NYC lives below the poverty line—a rate much higher than the citywide average.

• Older Asian American women have disproportionately high suicide rates, driven by loneliness, mental health stigma, and a lack of culturally responsive care.

That’s why I’m asking for your support. Every dollar raised helps Heart of Dinner continue their longterm home-deliveries and build out their infrastructure to reach Elders in need.

• $30 provides one care package filled with meals and love.

• $300 supports five Elders with weekly care packages for two weeks.

• $600 home-delivers care packages for 10 Elders for an entire month.
