Dumpling Lovers Unite!

We had such a great turnout last year for our AAPI month dumpling crawl, we are running it back!

✨ What’s AAPI Month All About?

May is Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month—a time to recognize, uplift, and honor the countless contributions AAPI communities have made to American history, culture, and cuisine (hello, dumplings 🙌).

Dumpling Crawl Details

🗓️ Saturday, May 30th.

🎯 We will visit the following locations: TBD

💸 Pay-as-you-go (eat a little, eat a lot—it’s up to you!)

We’ll stroll, snack, and socialize with fellow dumpling enthusiasts. Bring your appetite and your best food-sharing energy—this crawl is about community, carbs, and making new friends.

💛 Giving Back While Filling Up

In honor of AAPI Month, we’re using this crawl to raise funds for an incredible NYC-based non-profit: Heart of Dinner.

What they do:
Heart of Dinner fights food insecurity and isolation among Asian American elders by delivering culturally appropriate meals and groceries—packaged with handwritten love notes in their native languages. It’s thoughtful, it’s nourishing, and it’s a beautiful way to care for our community’s most overlooked members.

💸 Want to Support Heart of Dinner? Here's How:
Whether you're joining the dumpling crawl or cheering us on from afar, you can still make a difference!

For Attendees

Be Kind

Let’s keep the good vibes going by being kind—to each other and to those around us. We’re here for great food and even better company, so let’s make sure everyone feels welcome and respected.

If you ever feel uncomfortable or notice someone acting inappropriately, please let me know right away. We have a zero-tolerance policy for bad behavior—anyone who violates this may be asked to leave and will not be welcome at future events.

Kindness and respect are the foundation of this community. Let’s keep it that way.

Family-Friendly Environment

Everyone is welcome at our events! Feel free to bring your kids, partner, or parents along for the dumpling adventure.

Open to All

Whether you're a local NYC resident, a visitor from another state, or traveling from overseas, we warmly invite you to join.

Social Atmosphere

Our events are naturally social and interactive. Please come prepared to engage with fellow food enthusiasts and enjoy lively conversations. Meeting new people is highly encouraged!

Allergy Awareness

If you have food allergies please exercise caution. Many restaurants may have cross-contamination in their kitchens, so stay vigilant.

Event RSVPs

To maintain the quality of our events, each one will have a limited number of spots. This ensures that everyone has a great experience without overcrowding and long wait times.

When you RSVP to an event, you’re committing to attend. We understand that sometimes plans change, so if you need to cancel, please do so as soon as possible. This allows us to offer your spot to someone on the waitlist who is eager to join.

Your commitment helps us build a vibrant and active community.

Event Photos/Video

By participating in our events, you consent to being photographed or filmed. These photos and videos may be used for promotional and marketing purposes.

Notes from the Heart of Dinner team:

Join me in supporting Heart of Dinner’s mission to address food insecurity, social isolation, and loneliness among Asian American Elders across NYC.

Heart of Dinner hand-delivers nearly 700 culturally thoughtful care packages every week to Elders who experience profound challenges due to food insecurity and isolation. Each care package is designed to nourish both body and spirit, including:

💌 Handwritten notes in the Elder’s native language, offering culturally nuanced comfort and connection.

🎨 Hand-decorated bags adorned with uplifting artwork to bring warmth and joy.

🍱 Nutrient-dense meals sourced from local small businesses owned by BIPOC, women, and LGBTQIA+ leaders.

1 in 3 Asian Elders in NYC lives below the poverty line, and many face barriers that neglect their foundational needs, leaving them unseen and alone. Your support helps Heart of Dinner reduce food insecurity, foster connection, and show our Elders they are cherished.

Even a small donation can help provide vital meals and emotional support. Together, we can create a ripple effect of love and care. Please join me in uplifting our beloved Elders today.
